Mummy's Bao Bei

Recently, we made it a point to bring Ethan home twice a week instead of only weekends. This is to pace ourselves towards taking him home daily later. Ethan has been a good boy and he is no longer crying when we pick him up or send him back. The trick of giving him food to divert his attention works wonderfully.

Everytime after we dropped Ethan off at the babysitter's house, we started to miss him from that moment onwards. John and I will have little conversations about the boy in the car on our way home. We will reflect on the time spent with him and the precious moments of joy he brought to us. We both knew that overall, Ethan is considered a good boy. We couldn't ask for more. There is no children that doesn't cry or throw tantrum. One good thing about Ethan is he gets out of it very fast.

He is a very manja boy. What to do, he is the only baby in the family and pampered by so many people. I am glad he is not stingy in sharing food, even with his favourite Yakult and yoghurt. Sometimes, he even gave his pacifier to mummy and daddy. To him, it's like sharing his food or toy, so cute. Hahaa... See, how can I not love him? He knows how to melt my heart better than his daddy. :)

Am I pretty?

Nice or not? Who says boy cannot wear hairband? My daddy said "Is it your issue or mine?"

Ethan's new bicycle

We have been thinking of getting a bicyle (or rather, a tricycle) for Ethan. Two weeks ago, we brought Ethan to a bicyle shop and see if we can find him a solid tricycle that won't topple. So, we were checking out the smallest model in the bicycle shop but still it looks too big for Ethan.

Well, we thought since we brought him a long, why not just let him try on it (like buying new clothes or new shoes). We made a big mistake! We are right that the bicycle is not the right size for him, as its meant for 3 - 4 years old. Ethan is not even 2 yet. The mistake was, he refused to get down and started crying and yelling. Sigh! We should have known that.

So, we decided to go straight to Giant and buy him a smaller version (those plastic looking ones). He was so excited when he saw the tricycle and want to ride on in straight. He rode on it and pushed himself around using his two little feet. He doesn't know how to paddle yet. Now we got a problem. He didn't want to stop and get up from it. Ended up, we have to push him to the counter (despite his crying) and lift him off the tricycle forcefully so that the cashier can scan it for payment. Sigh! The scene of our journey home looks like this - Ethan crying in the car with the tricylce next to him at the back seat. Luckily it was just few minutes away from home.
